Airport-Zurich - Kloten - Weggis (Lake Lucerne)

Leaving the Airport, you immediately get on to the
Autobahn direction Zurich.
- Left : Hilton Hotel, right :Mövenpick Airport
Hotel.
- The motorway leads you through a tunnel.
- Follow the sign : Luzern /Gottard/Chur/
- Then downhill, leading to long Escher-Wyss Bridge -
careful Radar!
- Follow Lucerne/Gottard/Chur direction
- You pass the Manesse Strasse and then go up the ramp,
keeping to the right side. After 800 metres, this road
branches further right. (do NOT follow Chur/St. Gallen
sign!!). You pass Brunau Railway Station left. Continue -
reaching Adliswil.
- Pass through Adliswil you arrive at the Sihlwald. To your
right forest, to the your left the river Sihl. (through the
Sihlwald takes 12-15 minutes)
- You arrive at the junction Sihlbrugg; take right arm. Pass
through Industry Complex. You arrive at traffic lights
leading to the Autobahn. Follow Gotthard direction.
- Keep on the Autobahn until you see the sign Rotkreuz.
Branch off here. Continue on Autobahn until you see the sign
Küssnacht. Branch off here. Continue some 500m..then
turn left. Continue on, passing a big restaurant right -
Frohsinn, where lorries are parked. A little further on, you
will see Weggis marked - take turn right ( bypass around
Küssnacht ). When you join up with Küssnacht road,
turn right. This brings you to the town of Küssnacht.
At the four-fork junction, take road left. Pass by village
of Greppen.
- At the outskirts of Weggis, turn right at the Avia
Tank-filling station. Then left. Pass a high-rise building
Alpenblick (right). Pass tennis courts right. On the next
curve LEFT is the avenue to the Hotel Albana. Drive up to
the main door - parking places are available at this
level.

For those travelling from Zurich Airport to
Weggis: (train/boat)
|
- Take the train for Luzern in the Airport. You arrive in
Zurich main railway station. Approx. 15 minutes later. Do
not leave the train. After about 20 minutes halt, this train
continues on to Luzern 45 minutes. Directly opposite the
main railway exit, you will find the boat for Weggis - 35
minutes. If you let us know your arrival time in Weggis, we
shall fetch you at the boat station. Otherwise, the
Information Office at the boat station will ring us if you
ask them.

Basel - Lucerne - Weggis

(Time: 1 hour 30 minutes)

- Route: Autobahn Basel - Luzern ( Emmen Süd )
- In Basel take the autobahn ( marked green ) in the
direction LUZERN/GOTTARD
- At Zofingen continue in the direction of LUZERN
- At Sursee continue in direction EMMEN Süd
- At Emmen-Süd drive Richtung ZUERICH (Northwards)
- At Root continue to Rotkreuz
- In Rotkreuz turn off to the right and continue to
Küssnacht
- Take the autobahn exit KUSSNACHT
- Continue to drive to Küssnacht, Greppen and Weggis (
7km)
- Take the exit for Weggis at the AVIA- Filling station.
- Continue another 300m to ALBANA. on your left.

Lucerne - Weggis

(25 minutes)

- Starting from the Railway Station: Pass Railway
Station, turn left and take outside lane, with the Lake and
the boat station on your right.
- Turn right over the bridge, follow road, lake on right,
the Lucerne Cathedral is in front of you to left.
- Take the direction GOTTARD.
- Continue on the lake road - always with Lake to your
right.
- Pass Hotel Hermitage right.
- You reach a long-drawn out suburb of Lucerne called
MEGGEN.
- Pass one very modern church left and near the end of the
suburb another church right.
- Continue to Merlischachen
- Continue to Küssnacht.
- Go through Küssnacht and continue on lake road to
Greppen.
- Bypass Greppen. Go up a fairly steep hill.
- Continue on to an AVIA Garage on your right.
- Turn right
- Turn left.
- Continue straight on.
-You pass a high-rise building on your right.
Alpenblick.
-Pass 2 tennis-courts on your right.
-Slow up. The ALBANA is now visible on your left.
-Around the next curve, turn left up the avenue to the
hotel. There are plenty of parking places at this level.

Lugano (Ticino) - Weggis

(2 hours 30 minutes, normally, please note possibility of
delay in GOTTARD TUNNEL)

At Lugano take the autobahn in the direction of
BELLINZONA
- Drive over the Monte Ceneri Pass
- At Bellinzona take direction GOTTARD (16km)
- Direction Altdorf
- Watch out for the exit for FLÜELEN/BRUNNEN
- Take the Axenstrassen to Brunnen
- Drive along the lake to Gersau, Vitznau and Weggis
- Take the WEGGIS EXIT
- Follow lake road ( lake on left)
- Continue until the tour-road intersection. Continue
straight on.
- Pass Catholic Church on your right. Red Spire
- 800 metres further on sharp right is the entrance to the
Hotel Albana
